Fairfax, Virginia—March 9, 2010 QinetiQ North America today announced the successful accomplishment of another step in its company-wide plan to obtain ISO certification in its constituent operating elements. QinetiQ North America’s Mission Solutions Group Information Technology (IT) Quality Management System successfully completed a British Standards Institution (BSI) America audit and has received ISO 9001:2008 registration. The achievement is a milestone in the company’s adoption of industry best practices for IT service provision.
Keith Rhodes, the Group’s Chief Technology Officer, said, “Achieving this goal is a testimony to the professional and high-quality service our IT people deliver. Establishing and using standard operating procedures, policies, documentation, records, and audits enable organizations to monitor and analyze quality management efforts and assure policy is consistently applied and continuously improved.”
This new set of certifications brings QinetiQ North America’s total number of major facilities registered ISO 9001:2000, ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100 to eight, including operations in Fairfax, Reston, Alexandria, Springfield (all in Virginia), Denver (Colorado), Huntsville (Alabama), Campbell (California) and Waltham (Massachusetts). The Denver facility has been operating on an ISO registered basis for more than twelve years.
