QinetiQ North America’s Mission Solutions Group provides expert program security advice to the DoD and other federal government customers. We provide critical advice to research, development, and acquisition programs and develop appropriate security measures and associated technologies. QinetiQ North America provides staff oversight of the Program Protection Planning (PPP) process and participates in such planning as required. We ensure that early planning identifies Critical Program Information (CPI) during all phases of the developmental process to integrate and focus security measures with priorities assigned using a risk assessment methodology. We develop, implement, and manage various DoD OPSEC programs, and provide a focal point for horizontal protection to ensure a consistent application of protective measures across programs and among the military services. We also provide the focal point for the security cost accounting methodology and participate in identifying the need for and recommending anti-tamper measures. QinetiQ North America conducts Program Assessment Reviews/System Element Reviews (vulnerability assessments) to confirm the effective application of, or gaps in, security measures and we review, revise, and draft existing and new defense protection policies and procedures.
